Know Yourself
Part 1
Knowing Yourself as a Leader
Before we begin our journey towards understanding the different roles a leader plays, it is imperative to dig deeper into figuring out who we are. Understanding our strengths, weaknesses and blind spots can be a useful place to begin with in figuring out the kind of a leader we wish to be.
Deep Structure of my Iceberg
The cultural iceberg is a great beginning towards developing an understanding of who we are. Not only does it help us identify the various layers that form the basis of our identities, it can also act as a tool that helps us chart our journey through life.
The Comfort Zone
One of my takeaways during the first week of the course was the 'Comfort Zone' circle. The visual representation of the process of learning proved to be utterly useful for me while approaching any conversation on growth and upskilling. Keeping these tools in place, I have been having individual conversations with various team members on the possibilities that lie ahead as they begin to leave their comfort zones.
My Leadership Profile
To Empower, Support and Lead the Arts to newer heights
Our personal vision board was a great place to start our individual journeys in this course. Not only did it help us set targets for ourselves, it also acted as a catalyst towards prioritising our learning needs. I was able to do self-analysis and take the required steps to put the learnt skills and ideas into practice.
